Lantern Making Fun
Kids, are you ready for Lantern Parade?Your Lantern will be Judged.

• By Panel of Three Judges on the scale of 1-10 based on:
  • Use of recycled material
  • Presentation 
  • Sturdiness of lantern - able to withstand a walk.
• Walk with lantern for members to appreciate.
• Judges decision will be considered final.

We want you to enjoy the delicacies of Pot-luck at the get-together, so DO make your lantern at home

Potluck Face-Off 
Showcase your culinary skills and bring a dish from home for an opportunity to win for your hard work!

JUDGING CRITERIA 
2 Categories

• Main Dish
• Dessert

Your dish is judged based on

• Popular Vote – Attendees at the event will each have one vote to cast. 

PRIZES
There will be one Prize for each category:

• $15 each for top main dish and dessert
• $15 & $10 for 1st and 2nd lantern winners

SOUTHEAST ASIAN SPECTACULAR THEME
Make the Lantern Festival a little homier with a potluck that embraces the good old Southeast Asian spices and flavors. Meat, vegetables or snacks (you name it) might help ease our yearning for some familiar dishes.

Theme
​Go Green: Make planet earth green for our future generation. Let’s support sustainable energy, and reduce waste:

• Lantern should be made up of recyclable material - you can use material like Milk Gallon bottles, Old Ang-pows, Letter Envelopes, Pamphlets etc.
• One should be able to walk around with the Lantern
• Lantern should have space to put an battery-operated tea light
• You should try to reuse as much as possible and try to limit purchase of material if required to not more than $5.
